Are all the 20 minute players gone?

Recommended Posts

I really don't see everyones problem with hackers i stay with low populated servers and haven't come across a hacker yet the only time i did come across ONE was on a server that had like 35/40 ppl in it.

Basically, what I'm hearing in this thread is what I'm hearing in every other thread. QQ about scriptfags.

And the simple fact is, the script kiddies are going to choose servers with a bunch of people cause they're just out to ruin your day. The only simple fix is to play on low-pop servers, but that means YOU can't be fags and sit in cherno or elektro killing every new spawn without a weapon. So, the real thing here is: You want to be a jerk, and get killed by a script, or do you want to not be a jerk and survive?

I've been playing on a private hive with a password, it's great.

Had some awesome fire fights with people and no one disconnects, had 1 encounter with a cheater (someone obviously gave the pw out) but the server admin reset my friend who died and all we lost was a ural.

It's the only way to play at the moment

I recently began playing on a private server as well, although it doesn't have a password. The admins are awesome, flying around in a heli helping people out when they need it with transportation or what have you (Got killed by a super zombie who somehow managed to knock me out for 2 minutes while I was at 12k blood, eaten and spawned across the map from my buddy. They picked me up and dropped me off where he was.), but best of all, there's no hacking going on. And if there ever were an incident, I know the admins would restore our stuff anyway, so there's nothing to even remotely be upset about.

However, even on normal hive, with NVGs I just hop on night servers with < 10 people, and just do my thing.

A lot have left due to the scripting, it's not just the bugs. If anything I think the departure rate has increased in the last few days.

I'm actually just on to see if there was any update news today, I don't intend to play anymore on the current build.

ive basically stopped playing due to admin abuse. worse then scripting imo

Wow you people are pathetic. You think yourself better because you are enjoying a game full of bugs and gamebreaking hacking? People are leaving because this game offers nothing else but deathmatch on a large map with countless ways of duping items while being constantly nuked by hackers, while if you dare to come to the forums to give feedback and criticize the game (that's in an alpha stage) in any way, mentioning bugs, undeveloped/broken/missing features you are told to shut up, suck it up, qq and gtfo codfag "because it's alpha". I don't think that's how the alpha is supposed to look like. And something being called an alpha suggests that the game is in development, which it's not. There is near to 0 communication from the dev team. We don't know what bugs/issues they are aware of so you constantly see people making the same topics over and over. Hell, we don't even know if they care at all. Maybe they just want to introduce the dogs and leave everything else as it is. I don't know. And then there is the forum where you get flamed for giving negative feedback about things in a game in alpha stage. Hello, that's what you are supposed to be doing while testing. Saying that everything is okay, excusing everything that's broken, and discouraging people from giving feedback is not helping at all when testing games in alpha. If you do that you're the worst kind of tester. Even those who test the game and never give feedback are better.

TL;DR (because I know you need one, since you people often have problems reading even past threat title) You think you are the "elite", better than everyone else? Liking and white knighting for a game in alpha stage doesn't make you anything. Thinking that you are better because of that, flaming and discouraging people who give negative feedback makes you look stupid.

Why do you think you're entitled to communication from the dev team? In some development spaces even the people testing the game don't get to communicate with developement. It's a poor model, but it's out there. As for forums and all the peeps that use them to berate develpers, call them lazy and all sort of namecalling and just all round childish bullshit. Who the f in their right mind would open themselves up to that shit. There are hundreds of games out there, thousands. Find something you like and play it. If you got the skills to develope games that go do it. Want to talk about this or that or share experiences releated to the game..great. But in my opinion, no developer should ever listen to or try to design a game around any of the shit that people post in forums. The whole idea behind games being shaped by random people around the world, each with personal agendas, is absolutely preposterous and should be avoided at all costs.

They make the game they want to make, we decide of we want to play it or not.

Speaking of Hackzor douchebags. I just killed two more bandits on sniper hill by Electro...they had AS50s w/ thermal...hid the bodies and bye-bye hacked AS50 bullshit. That is a total of 6 bandits I have buried with a M9SD bullet in the back of their heads destroying their dupped AS50 TWS. 6 more notches in my rifles stock.

I'm looking at you cheating DBs. I know the sniping spots, I'd start watching your back. Because I don't know who you are, or know what you want. But I have a very specific set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for DB hacker A$$hats. If you drop the AS50 TWS, that will be the end of it. I wont follow you, i wont go looking for you...but if you keep using that AS50 TWS, I will look for you and I will find you, and I will kill you.

I just love all the folks who sit here complaining and crying about stuff, and yet do not leave. It is funny as hell.

I thought from the link this was a pretty good summary for those who did not want to read the whole thing. (Though I think reading it is very worth while)

Here are some examples of what I mean by accepting responsibility:

  • If I’m unhappy, it’s because I’m creating it.
  • If there’s a problem in the world that bothers me, I’m responsible for fixing it.
  • If someone is in need, I’m responsible for helping them.
  • If I want something, it’s up to me to achieve it.
  • If I want certain people in my life, I must attract and invite them to be with me.
  • If I don’t like my present circumstances, I must end them.

How did this go from devs communicating with community to reading the forum and doing everything that people say? What are you even saying? That you can't have communication from devs because if they do visit the forum they will do everything that random people say and that it should be avoided at all cost? How did you even come up with this? What does that have to do with what I said?

A post like "we know about this, this and that. This will be fixed in standalone, on this we are currently working. Not sure if it's gonna be implemented before standalone. That will probably be fixed in the next patch if everything goes right" It would take like 10 minutes to make a post like that and it wouldn't ruin the game in any way. I assure you. And I'm not entitled to a post like that. But staying silent while babbling something about dogs that nobody gives a fuck about, just doesn't fill me with friendliness towards the dev team. It just shows bad attitude. And I'm supposed to give money to these guys for standalone.

And about NOT READING THE FEEDBACK. Are you nuts or what? Why on earth would you even have alpha/beta if you don't want to hear feedback? Isn't that what the alpha/beta test is about? To test mechanics and see how they work by hearing out what people say? To find bugs and hidden problems? And people on the forum can have good ideas too. That the dev team might consider if they like the idea and it suits the game that they want. It makes no sense to ignore feedback during frigging testing stage...

No one is attacking negative feedback, most are going after those that are doing nothing more than complaining for the sake of complaining, usually for having the wrong idea about the mod/game, over entitlement, or are just impatient.

You are not giving negative feedback. You are crying like a spoiled kid. Period. You want Rocket and the Dev's to hold your hand. Not going to happen.

You spew the same stuff every post, and ignore what feedback you are given. You Questions and concerns have been answered to the best of the abilities of those here.

Yet you keep on going as if something else will happen.

Yeah by things like "you are just explaining your assholish behavior because of guilt or something", "you just want everyone to be friendly", "you just want the game to hold your hand". I'm repeating myself because people can't read. Including you.

What the fuck am I crying about? Or where did I say I want the game to hold my hand? The illiteracy of you fanboys is really starting to annoy me. Please quote what where I said that. Otherwise take your baseless assumptions back to your fanboy corner.
