Loot and Gear Spawn Issue On My Rented Server

I rented a Server Last Friday the 24th of Aug, Upon updating and starting it I noticed that good gear does not spawn - after 4 days with friends and no Alice pack in site scouring the entire map over and over we joined another server and hit a grocery store and there were 2, once we left and came back in my Server we have 4 - took 3 days of camping NW just to get 1 M4a1 cco, only sniper seen was a M107 at a chopper crash, have seen 3 crashes and loot the same at each with Bison's and M107, No Tents spawn at stores, only thing that really spawns are pistols and ammo and miscellaneous gear, I have re-updated the files, changed difficulty to each and back, I restart every 4-6 hr, limit ping, and still nothing, i have even had us try and lobby bounce on the Sever in and out of Game to see if that helps many times over - Am I missing an update or something? People join and leave within minutes because of the issue.

Any help would be great - Also created a support ticket with HFB and they said it was a DayZ issue and not them and to contact here (Help Me Please)

You are just unlucky. Your server actually has nothing to do with what loot spawns and when. The Hive controls all of that for your server. There is literally nothing you can do to affect loot spawns at the server level (other than restarting the server to 'clear' loot and get all new loot piles).

If such a problem existed, it would be exhibited on many servers (such as when a hive issue existed that prevented servers with instance IDs over 8000 from spawning any vehicles at all). However having 'nothing' spawn at a location is different than having stuff spawn at appropriate spots (just not the loot you want).

It is extremely unlikely to the point I'd say implausible that your server is able to spawn loot properly, but not spawn "good loot". The Hive makes no distinction between "bad loot" and "good loot". It's just a matter of configured percentage chance to spawn for a given piece of loot. With that said, "good loot" does have a very low percentage chance to spawn in comparison with regular/garbage loot. I've been playing for weeks and I've yet to see a natural spawn of GPS, NVG, Rangefinder, and many other items. I've only ever obtained them from other players. Stuff is rare, intentionally. It just seems way more common because of all the tent duping/etc. going on.

If I had to wager, I'd say absolutely nothing is wrong with your server. Good loot is intentionally uncommon/rare. Bizons are the 'garbage' loot of helicopter crashes, it makes sense you've seen lots of them. Tents are exceptionally rare compared to the other stuff that spawns in grocery stores. The random number generator is a cruel mistress, and is not often in a giving mood.

In short, I highly doubt anything is wrong at all. Your server is probably working flawlessly. If there is some weird problem (which I can't fathom how), it would only ever be an issue with The Hive itself and only DayZ devs could fix it. Such a problem SHOULD affect other servers too (potentially all). Since no one else seems to be reporting issues, it's even more unlikely that such a problem exists. If you truly still believe your server is having a problem, your only option is to contact DayZ support and have them investigate. Nobody else can help or investigate.

Thank you very much - I was just going through my logs and notcied that the creatvehical was missing quit a few details compared to the one on http://code.google.com/p/dayz-community-banlist/source/browse/#git%2Ffilters or I stoped mt Server update the txt for that and remoteexc and everything they had - Also I noticed in the Server logs there were 2 players that had pipebomps and parachutes which I have never seen before and that was the first day of the start of the server. Might I been hacked? I have copied the GUIDs and was looking for a place to ban them because they do not show in my Dart Players list for some reasons

Again Thank you - My thoughts are I was hacked or the files giving to me on the purchase of the server were inconclusive

The filters from the community ban list have no effect on natural loot spawns. Whether your createvehicle.txt, remoteexec.txt, or scripts.txt were wrong/inaccurate/missing anything would not affect your loot.

pipebombs are "Satchel Charges" in game. They are VERY rare, but legitimate. So rare that it's more likely the satchel charge was obtained through illegitimate means. BUT... you have no way of knowing if it was found legitimately on your server, spawned in, brought in from another server, or found in a hacker's tent/crate/etc. When it shows up in the create log it means it was detonated (NOT that the satchel charge was spawned in).

Parachutes are legitimate and 'create' in the logs when someone ejects from a helicopter.

Even if you were hacked, no one can "break" your server from spawning certain loot. Perhaps they could affect the current loot piles in the world, but not "break" the server to make it never spawn rare loot.

DART uses rcon, meaning it only has access to what it sees live on the server or what it's seen since you last started DART. Not seeing a player in DART just means it wasn't running when that player was logged in.

You should probably unban those two people. But, like I said, everything in relation to the community ban list/community filters and the two people you've mentioned would be incapable of affecting loot spawn/rarity on your server. Those are unrelated issues.

I never banned them because I don't know how if they are not listed in Dart Players list - I created the Server to avoid the hacks and the killing on spawn in hopes of a decent place for peeps to join, in the log the user and pipe bomb was listed over 20- times some in a row and some scattered through the log and same with the Parachutes and they do not show in my players list which all other players listed in the log do which seems weird - and that would be more then his pack size on entry to my Server wouldn't it?

I have found this user on another forum for using illegal gear - Here is just a small example on what he had used on mine - I believe he is spawning the Big Ammo Box and getting the Rocket and Pipe Bombs but not sure - What I hear on other topics the BigAmmoBoxes are ; legit reason to Ban
