Hijacked Steam account and Battleye global ban risk

I own a Steam version of Arma 2:CO. Unfortunately, my Steam account got hijacked recently. I can still play Dayz normally though. What I was wondering is, if the hijacker installs arma 2:co using my Steam account and receives a global Battleye ban, will I be affected as well?

GUID is directly associated with the CD Key, so yes you would also be affected.

Thanks for the info Dax. I've filed the necessary reports, so let's hope that I get my account back before that happens.
