Roll like a 'proper' squad (Enhanced player profile)

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

FYI - Having not seen a thread about the custom squad info and icons on the forum, I wanted to highlight this fun little option in ArmA II which works in DayZ.

After having seen some icons and custom squad information in the player menu (press 'P') on various servers, I got curious. Thankfully, I got the ArmA II player profile enhancement working in DayZ. Thanks to the helpful guide on the link below, my mates and I can now roll like a proper squad. Also, I understand vehicles will have the logo emblazened on the side, but will need a tester to help me try that out. (Will post results) Perhaps they don't work in DayZ, but a custom logo on a jeep or chopper would be neat (Rocket permitting, of course).

For more details, see:

You will need someone to host the .jpg or .paa image file and to keep the .xml file in the same location to make this work. I got ours working in just 30 mins.

Cheers!

I just wish there was a way that groups could put maybe a piece of colored cloth on their arm so people aren't always going "Is that you? Hey! Is that you running over by blah blah?"

Nice find though. :)
