... to my server.cfg file. I asked what the "verifysignatures" was set at mentioning that it needs to be set at "2".

After all of this, I joined my server last night and the guys that were using the tree exploit are still using it. I know because I played with them. They drove a car, I was in the back seat and the dudes were driving through forests that I could see and they could not. Trees were passing right through me as I sat in the car. We talked about it without them knowing my true intentions, which is to figure out how to fix this game changing problem.

I put another ticket in, but no response. If I don't get a response by COB tomorrow, server cancelled. This exploit is ridiculous. These guys can see everything. They can drive through forests. They can shoot through areas where trees would normally be where we can't see them or shoot back because our bullets would hit the trees.

No fix, bye-bye DayZ server.

Need help. If I can't get this resolved, it is a deal breaker to me and I'll let the server go.

I rent a 40 slot server from Host Altitude. In the control panel where I can go in and edit my server configuration. It is through the control panel interface. I'm not actually tweaking the any txt files. The control panel interface offers limited settings compared to what I see you can do with the server.cfg file.

Last night, I met up with some dudes who have playing on my server for some time now. I learned they are using the tree / vegetation exploit and just realized what a huge advantage this is. I know, I know....about time. I don't play as often as I'd like so I haven't been in the loop regarding this exploit.

So after some research, I think I understand that the only way to combat this is by tweaking the server.cfg file and doing the following...

Adding this to the server.cfg...

PROBLEM IS.....I CAN'T FIND THE SERVER.CFG FILE ANYWHERE VIA THE CONTROL PANEL TO MAKE THESE ADJUSTMENTS! I SEARCHED VIA THE CONTROL PANEL'S FILE MANAGER. I ESTABLISHED AN FTP LINK AND SEARCHED ALL THE FOLDERS. NOTHING. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THIS FILE IS SUPPOSED TO BE DIRECTLY UNDER THE CFGDAYZ FOLDER.

Requested help from Host Altitude.

Wow: As i was writing this post and I went to check my ticket number, i saw that Host Altitude support answered my ticket and added the stuff above to my server.cfg file. Although i feel this should be standard and I shouldnt have to ask, kudos to Host Altitude support for answering so quickly. Literally within 15-20 minutes. Excellent customer service.

I'll let everyone know if it works. I'll know when the guys i met last night start blowing me up because they can't join with the misaligned .pbl files.

Takeaway: We, the customer, can't make the adjustments. Host Altitude customer support will have to update your server.cfg file for you.
