I am getting pretty aggravated having to keep reading people saying that L85, NVG, RF, as50s, etc are way too common. People really need to understand how rare these weapons and items are if you try to actually search for them.

Helicopter Crash Sites

Helicopter Crash Sites can be found in various locations throughout

Chernarus

and are most commonly found on open fields or on hillsides. The locations of the crash sites vary for each server. These sites are excellent for looting as they contain some of the best weapons that you may find in the DayZ world.

Crash Sites can spawn extremely rare weapons that cannot be found anywhere else such as the L85A2 AWS and FN FAL ANPV S4.

The weapons that spawn here are often British and of high quality and the zombies that wander around it also usually carry around some minor military type items. The zombies also spawn very fast, so if you are planing on looking around be ready for zombies to keep spawning.

Each crash site seems to have 6 loot spots. Swaying your crosshair around the ground is recommended, as tall grass or a slight slope may cause weapons to be hidden underground, but still lootable.

The following items are a complete list of all lootable items on the crash site, all information taken from the DayZ loot tables.

Please look at this table and information to understand it better. Once the standalone comes out or 1.7.3 and IF they do a hive restart, you will notice these items are much harder to fine. So please, PLEASE stop suggesting that Rocket reduce the spawn of certain items. It is the hackers and tents, not the spawn rate. Thank you, and good day!

Your post title has absolutely no relation with the content of it.

You present the obvious-everyone-know-it spawn rates of rare weapons, and tells nothing about dupped/scripted gears.

I fail to see what kind of useful information you bring up here, all I see is only a bunch of copy pasted links.

Everyone knows the reason why they aren't as rare as they should be is because of players duping them, and/or hacking. Only new players wouldn't know this, and probably don't even think or care about the issue.

If you click the link it shows the rarity of the item. This lets people know just how often they can find these weapons if they actually search for them legitily. People for some reason think all the guns are common and don't realize it...Whether you know it or not is irrelevant as a lot of people dont..HENCE why people keep ASKING about it and suggesting it.

Honestly, I did not find it much more OP than the AS50 / L85A2 combo. One shot kill is one shot kill, and other sniper rifles achieve this.

Plus, the gun is so huge, it also removes quite a lot of the stealth the ghillie suit offers. It also attracts zombies a lot. Pros and cons...

There really needs to be a purge of the hive where EVERYTHING that isn't in the mod is deleted and replaced with some sort of crazy zombie musk. The more hacked items, then the further away those zeds can smell ya and come looking for some zombie love. ;)

I would also like the see some kind of pirate skin for anybody that has every picked one up and used it. It should persist for 24 hours game time and linger through death.

Or just have every single weapon that has been hacked in replaced with a makarov/winchester combo.

After all, we don't want the kids left defenceless.

I am fighting other guys with AS50 TWS out there. Dropping it would make no sense, and would reduce my chances of surviving in this game. Exactly what I am not supposed to do. Am I?

Well agreed, but still want to point it out to the people making threads about it..That is all this post was suppose to be. I am not trying to get people to argue. I just want a thread that shows everything in one place if people don't know about that website, but of course some troll fag has to come in and destroy that. I read -'i might as well cheat because everybody else does'.

I've been playing for a month and haven't fired a single hacked weapon, I haven't looked through a duped nvg and the only way that I move between locations is to press 'w' and leg it.

It amazes me the number of people on these forums that would 'stick their hand in the garbage disposal' - because everybody else does it.

Not really, since it's actually able to be used during night ops. Only sniper that I know of which is compatible with NVG's is the DMR, but that might just be me.

I still think there are too many chopper crash sites on a map. Im pretty sure there are 6. If they reduced this I think the drop rate for the weapons youve listed would probably be fine. But what I find is chopper crash site weapons are more common than Military spawn weapons and Im referring to my experience with loot spawns, not from other players.

There are only a few items in the game that are balanced IMO. These are the ghillie, NVGs and Range finders. Almost everything else is way too common.
