Combat logging.

So first off let me say that I'm against combat logging, not because it's an easy way out of a hard situation.

But because it ruins the fun.

But today I made an exception.

I was on my way to Putoshka, when all of a sudden I see a UH-1H Huey

Note I was playing on a server with no record of hackers, and there was only about 3 people in the server.

I figured that somebody was looting stuff from the supermarket and didn't think anybody would find his helicopter.

So naturally I tried to snatch it.

As soon as I lifted off, all of a sudden... *BAM*

Someone shot me with what I think was a .50cal.

The helicopter started spinning out of control and crashed.

Against all odds I managed to survive the crash with 2k blood.

Luckily I fell out of the helicopter near a bush.

As I took cover and bandaged myself, all of a sudden I'm fully healed back to 12k (note I didn't even have 12k blood when I took the helicopter).

Someone approaches me...

>Hey can you hear me?

-yeah..

>Don't shoot we're friendly

-friendly? you shot me straight out of the air!

>yeah sorry for that, luckily you survived

>we just want to pick up a gun we wont shoot you.

I do actually here shots but they sounded more like little explosions.

As I scroll to take my handgun I see:

"take weapon AS50 TWS"

Now I was certain that I was dealing with hackers.

I didn't care if they said they were friendly. An AS50 isn't meant to be friendly and definitely not if it has thermal vision.

So I logged out.

This made me think. Maybe it's not so bad after all to have a system where you can instantly log out.

After all it's an alpha game and many things are broken, it's a fair way to balance the game by not having a logout timer.

True but its a double edged sword. with people who are in actual combat and combat log
