New to server Hosting

Recommended Posts

I have been hosting my own server for about 3 weeks now. First was with defcon and now with HFB. I have people scripting ammo crates and choppers in to the game. I have read in arma sites that there is a script detection tool. Is there one for dayz? What is the best way to find these people? I saw another post where people find the scripts in logs. Are they RCON logs or logs from the hosting company?

Any help you guys could offer what be appreciated.

Biggest thing I would like to figure out is who spawned the massive arma ammo crate in my server.

You can list all of your logs by going to the "Log Viewer" section in your control panel. From there, if you know what you're looking for, you might be able to catch whoever you're looking for.

Well considering I really dont know anything about any of it. I would need a tutorial as to what to look for.

You could download your log file and get the script parser located here on the forums. It works pretty well.

How does HFB run and where is your server at because I'm looking at them and a few more for new hosting...I have DefCon now .

Its out of chicago. It runs decent. Im not impressed with the load times. I load faster to my server with defcon in dallas than to this one and I live 80 miles from chicago.
