sostronk 334 Posted August 28, 2012 I have had one up for 4 days now. I have had gear in there since I put it up and nothing has been lost. But I'm seeing alot of people saying they are not saving properly or something to this effect? How is this happening? I would actually like to avoid losing stuff, I only just got back into the habit of using tents after deciding not to use them as hackers constantly destroyed them, stole from them or killed me whilst I was near one. g12oome@hotmail.com 6 Posted August 28, 2012 How often does the server reset? and have you been putting new stuff in since you orginally set it up?The general issue is tents on server reset, go back to a previous state, alot of the time this is empty, so wiping anything you put into them, but sometimes this is with items. For example there are tents with thermal guns, sniper rifles, NVG, rangefinder, GPS in, and you can go and take all those items out, then when the server restarts, the tent will have all those items again, essentially giving you an endless supply of all the gear you could want.. Me and my friends each set up a tent, put stuff in, 2 appeared empty after server restart, 1 still had some of the gear in.. its hit and miss, but atleast in my experience, after its first restart, that is how it will come back everytime, no matter what.. you can destroy it, pack it up and move it, what ever.. it will still appear in its orginal location with all the gear in it, after each server restart. I do believe if you pack it up and put it somewhere else, it will appear in the orginal spot and the new spot, with all the gear in both.. but I haven't actually tested that.. jetao2008@hotmail.com 175 Posted August 28, 2012 (edited) I tried to figured this out but with no success.Tried almost everything, saved multiple times in different periods of the day, in multiple tents, and every single time the result is the same: empty tents.Yes, like GroomExGtE said, there are a lot of tents with gear inside, which makes me think about how people managed to do that. I don't think they would risk NVGs, AS50s without being sure that it would work. Please guys, if you are a successful "camp builder", let us know how you did it! Makes us less eager to find your camp, since we can have our own. :P Edited August 28, 2012 by Fenrig

I prefer to keep the rare stuff on me, although I don't have much rare stuff. Mostly its just food, water, spare medical supplies and common ammo (no rare weapon ammo I only use common weapons). I save twice and leave. Next night I return and everything has been there thus far. I figure if I leave any serious stuff in there Im more likely to be griefed. People see anything like NVG's I might as well say goodbye to them and the tent. If they just find basic stuff in there, they might take some and leave or not even touch it at all.
