6 Launcher causing network to drop.

Recommended Posts

So this started last night. I fire up 6Launcher and it starts refreshing the server list.

A couple seconds into the process my network drops then a few seconds later comes back up and then drops again. I close the launcher and the network drops stop.

Any ideas here? Needs to finds me some loot!

This is caused because your router cannot handle the amount of pings 6launcher does in a short period of a time.

This can be fixed however, download

http://www.dayzcommander.com/

Then go to the options panel and adjust the amount of servers pinged during the server refresh. Just put it to the lowest value and your connection shouldn't drop anymore. You can then try to find the highest value your router can handle and leave it there.

Thanks Jukez.

After some messing around last night I figured out that if I set 6Launcher to shutdown after joining a server and then quickly picked any server and joined it wouldn't drop my connection and I could use the ingame server browser.

6Launcher is a POS riding on the coat tails of a great game.

Anyway thanks again for the help.
