Can't download the ARMA beta patch

After getting a new hardrive yesterday, and re-routing my steam files and games to the hardrive, I tried to install the beta patch of ARMA using Dayz Commander. It said "ArmA2 OA is not installed on your computer or installation is corrupt". Then, talking to a friend about it, he said to get to the main menu via steam on arma to recreate reg files. That did not work, then I was told to "Validate game cache" through steam, did that, said "1 files failed to validate". I really need help, thanks.

it should redownload the file that failed to validate, just stop using those stupid updater programs...they just cause problems. launch dayz through arma 2..

I launch dayz through arma, the thing is though, to get on some servers I need the newest beta patch. It wont let me download it. Also I don't get your posts above.

Problem in the registry files, fixed it.
