Game is fun, but might have to quit

Recommended Posts

I finally managed to get Day Z working on my computer. I've had it for a little over a day, and I've already died 5 times. 2 times, I'm pretty sure I was sniped. Not a big deal, I expected that. 3 times hackers have hit my server (I've used a different server pretty much every time I've logged on), killing me each time. The furthest I've gotten is getting an AK, without ammo (no pistol either). So far I've enjoyed what I've experienced, but if I keep getting killed by hackers at this rate, I'm never going to have a chance to really enjoy the game, and will probably stop playing altogether. Is there anything individual players can do to protect themselves against server-wide hackers?

D/C if there is a huge drop in frames because thats usually a hacker and if you are being sniped look everywhere the sniper could be (if no signs of a sniper) D/C aswell because invisible hackers love to troll you and fire shots past your head. If you D/C and a player gos back into the lobby saying that you combat logged, then log in walk up to them and give them your stuff/ let them kill you.

Only playing on low populated servers wont protect you from hackers either. A friend and myself played on BE1. It was just us two and one other guy who was online for quite a while. When I checked the playerlist (as I always do every few minutes) I noticed a new player called Arjik joined the server. Only secounds after he was all over us and blew our brains out. It couldn't be a coincidence since it was night and we were in the remote town of Pustoshka.

There is nothing really you can do about them.

Yea, there really isn't much you can do about them. The bottom line is don't get attached to your gear and try not to get mad. The stand alone can't get here soon enough.
