Who needs bandits

After playing Dayz for a good few weeks now and finally getting into the swing of things. I got one wee character up to 18 days of survivial, had been all over the map with some friends carefully avoiding bandits, finding the odd vehicle here and there for a bit of fun, we even successfully cleaned out the north west air field.

During this time I had found some nice kit, a ghillie suite, a nice M4A1, plenty ammo, the largest back pack, plenty of blood, morphines, epi pens and just about every items for my tool belt.

I only took out one human character in this time who had opened fire on us, choosing to take the friendly path and rid the map of Z's getting up to 321 which I was proud off.

While filling a canteen last night and debating where to set up a camp, I heard a friend laugh and say "oh I've just thrown a grenade" to which my reply was "what di..?" followed by bang, shock, broken bones, bleeding, ringing sound and you are dead.

By this, I believe OP means that he found it legitimately and not in a duper camp or off a dead body. For which I do applaud OP, but seriously, don't make it easy to get killed.

Wow just wow. Did you even read the post? it clearly stated it was his friend who threw the grenade ;)

How did you even find this game, let alone played it more than 2 minutes since there was no de_dust map? ;)

yup my mate was messing around with his gear then scrolled his mouse and basically when he said threw a grenade he basically ment dropped it at his feet killing himself and me instantly.

Yup 18 days of wandering the map and picking up better gear and repairing a few vehicles, gone in the scroll of a mouse.
