Invisible Man or are people just that good?

So here is the low down... I have been playing dayZ for a while now and I am quite good at reconing a town before I go into it. I paly alone bc I can not get my friend to ever get on. I have been very pleased with this game its had a few problems but they were minor. After the last update v1.7.1.5, I have noticed that where ever I am someone finds me and kills me before I even knew they were there and with out attracting zombies aparently. Here are 2 instances.

1.) NW Airfeild I am the ONLY one on a US server and am hitting up the airfeild bc I was like "wow no one is here I am going to get something good". I go into one of the barricks and find a silenced assult riffle. In the last room after sweeping threw and opening up all the doors. On my way out I notice something move and thought it was a zombie in the bathroom so I go to check it out. It was a player with a ghille and he instantly shoots me. I was like WTF did he literally just spawn there or what. I look to see who else is in the lobby and it is still empty, so who killed me?

2.) I had brushed off losing the scilenced weapon and decided that it was part of the game. 'I can rebuild'. So I manage to find a cyotte pack, gps, bizon, cco assult rifle, and Mk 48 Mod 0. I thought to my self no ones going to want to f@ck with me now right? I play with that character for a few days being very carfull reconning towns before I enter. And was in the super market in Vybor (S of Airfeild). There were 2 other people on the server and one just died. The town was empty I ran in and bent down to eat some food when I get shot with a makrov that kills me in 3 shots. I was looking right out the window were the shots were coming from but NO PERSON was ever there....

-I can understand if that person crawled not making noise but I was in that town for like 30 sec.

What the hell is this crap? Maybee its time to go play Lingor Island I hear its pretty cool.

I never said it was a hacker but it is just weird. I dont even care that I lost my stuff because it is easy enought to find but I hate dying like this I makes me not want to play. It has happened for my last couple of deaths. If I am going to die I want to go out blazing!. I mean are these people just waiting hours for me to walk into the building they are in?

That happened twice to me on back to back spawns on the same server. The guy was using a teleport script to pop in on my six and blast me with a makarov before I could see him. We were the only 2 on the server and happened in two locations on opposite ends of the map. In your case he probably server hopped to a single player server and teleported right to you which is why you thought you were the only one there.

Tbh, there is weird shit happening all the time in DayZ. You learn soon enough that getting attached to your gear is retarded as your just as likely to die of glitches and hackers as opposed to other players actually killing you.

As for you story, the silly thing about the NW AF is that people usually think alike. "Few players on the server, oh I'll go loot the barracks"; well shit son, your not the only one who got that idea. I feel like I encounter people at the AF and in "high density" areas far more often on servers with few people on.

As for getting killed randomly, if you got sniped from far enough away you will likely not hear a thing. Could also be a hacker. Could also be a glitch.

Everyone around the NW AF dropped dead on a game I was on. Was sniping from the hills south west of it and there were at least 4 people somewhere on the AF (saw their nametags). All of a sudden 5 people got instantly killed (me and the 4 guys on the airfield). This happend just after the 4 guys ON the airfield killed another group of people just as I got in position.

Point is; weird shit happens all the time. Even if your only 2 people on the server, there is a remote chance you might run into them in fucking unlikely places. Me and a friend of mine ran into 3 people on the fields east of Devils mountain, on a server with 6 people on them. Meaning 5/6 people on this entire HUGE map was on the same spot. No helicrashes or nothing, just bad luck (or luck, since we killed them both). I'm guessing this could seem like hacking to them, as it probably would have seen like hacking to me if the tables were turned. They were ON the field when we spotted them, while we were in the treeline.

In a game like DayZ (just like IRL) the guy who spots the other guy first has a enormous advantage. Combine this with advantageous cover and you will win 99% of all firefights. I guess you just had bad luck and got spotted first on both occations.

TL;DR

Shit happens and then you die. Just like IRL I guess :P

Tbh, the ONLY way of giving this game some longlivity is by practically LIVING in Cherno/Electro. Running around and sniping and masturbating on your gear is fucking boring. I never bother to loot people anymore either since I got EVERYTHING. I'm mainly just waiting to die so I can spawn again and move back to Cherno.

This guy actually had the drop on me last night when I was waiting for a friend of mine to log on just north of Stary (he had a broken leg). I'm alt-tabbed in Windows reading shit on the forums when I hear a guy talking on the in-game VOIP, saying "Hey, Tommy! There is a guy laying here on the floor in a ghillie!": I tabbed back in, turned around and shot him point blank with my M107. I guess he must have double-tapped Caps lock by mistake or something, because that was insanely stupid.

So ye; Dying is all I want atm. But I'm not to keen on suiciding.

I was completly bored with Chernarus thats why i changed to Lingor its more of the same to a degree just new places and stuff to learn, its revitalised it a bit for me but it will get same old same old soon enough i guess

Lots of people log out at the NW airfield. They spend 20 minutes running to it looking for NVGs or a rangefinder, get there, don't find what they need, and logout. Then later when they log back in they loot cycle and see if they can get one.

This happens especially when its the last item you need (after getting a nice pack, sniper rifle, AR, etc). So, its very possible the guy spawned in on you. I guess maybe after killing you he was afraid you had buddies and logged out?

As for Vybor, who knows? I got sniped in the supermarket in zeleno on a server with 5 people in it. That one irritated me a bit.

Well even with few people on there's always going to be moments where you simply collide. Was on a server with six people on it and got sniped in a deer stand on the western edge of the map.

Gotten killed while looting a low value barn out in nowhere when a guy walked in the door and I had put my guard down.
