I/O Device Error

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have recently come across a new error that has crippled my ability do play DayZ. I've searched the internet/forums for more than a week before resorting to posting here. I could not find any solution. The error I receive states "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error." This happens after hitting "Ok" in the waiting screen after opening the game. The loading bar loads 2/3 of the way and stops for a minute before displaying the error. I started receiving this error after allowing Six Updater to update to the latest OA version. This error also creeps up sometimes trying to play with other addons, however, I am able to play normal multiplayer.

I have also tried DayZ Commander, but the damage seems to have been done. I've tried reinstalling BattleEye using every technique out there. I've completely reinstalled OA to no avail. Does anybody have any idea how I could fix this as I'm really itching to get back on, and keep on surviving.

Thank you for any assistance.

EDIT: I have also tried launching with and without Steam.
