Arma 2 wont start

When I try to launch arma 2 through steam or through dayzcommander it gets to where the ticks in the boxes comes up then it stops with 1 to go and is not responding.

Anyone know how to fix this? Very annoying.

try to exit steam and run it as an administrator

then run ArmA2 once and then ArmA2: OA once to allow them to make changes in your registry

then you can try to verify files through steam or reinstall.. also reboot pc
