Cannot connect to a server if my friend is in it.

I cannot connect to a server that has my friend in, i get a message from Battleye saying that i have been kicked and that is all. i have only just recently purchased Combined ops, and was wandering if downloading it off of my friends account a few days ago has anything to do with this issue. Thanks in advance for helpful replys :)

You can't do that I'm afraid.

It would mean you are both trying to use the same game key. So only one could connect at the same time.

you need to buy your own copy.

I have my own copy... but i downloaded it from his account before i bought the game... if i redownlaoded it on steam on MY account would this resolve my issue?

You need to install it from your Steam account to be able to play at the same time.

Log into your Seam run Arma 2 once until you see the menu then close it. Run Arma 2:OA once until you see the menu then close it.

Your CDKeys should be set in your registry now so you can play with your own account.

I would completely uninstall the game and remove any registry keys associated with ARMA.

Then redownload from your steam account.

Your friends cd key is probably still in your registry.

Well i couldn't launch OA so i've had to uninstall them both. Thanks for the replys though guys :)
