NVIDIA Control Panel settings, maximizing performance?

Recommended Posts

Have these startup options:

"-nosplash -cpuCount=2 -maxmem=512 -world=empty"

Also make sure you have AA, PG, and all that turned OFF.

Textures and all that @ low/medium.

Also make sure the screen resulution and the 3D resulution match. (100%)

In the NVIDIA controllpanel make so that you have the "Maximum pre-rendered frames" set to "8".

Just a quick one dude. This game is very CPU & GPU intensive. Within the game video option (stay out of advanced for now) I'd start at the bottom default settings & work your way up. Make small incremental changes in advanced if you feel up to it.

My suspicion is you wont be able to run this badboy of game past medium with no or very little AA with your current rig. Even at default medium settings with a decent screen res it should run & look ok.

I hope this has helped.

What I really want is for somebody to tell me what to put for each of the nvidia settings (all the way down the list) focusing on performance. I realize that's a lot to ask, but the extensive googling hasn't really given me what I was looking for :\. And the game is playable, this is my laptop so I don't feel that bad about how it's performing at all.

Do you just mean add that text to the properties thing of my DayZ shortcut?

If you are using steam, put it in the launch options. If you are using DayZCommander you put it on launch options there, same with six launcher.

Then just follow my steps, and you should be able to play with min/max graphics.

Can I just do this? I have a desktop shortcut I'm rather fond of and don't mind the arma server list.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -skipIntro -mod=@DayZ -cpuCount=2 -maxmem=512 -world=empty

This is what my settings are at http://imgur.com/YL2gg any obvious changes? The max pre-rendered frames I'm allowed is 4.

Power managment should be like "full power" or w/e its called.

Try turning off Trilinear Opimazation if it helps aswell.

I also like running my game in windowed mode.

So what other launch parameters would you recommend? Or am I good?

My advice read the first link for nvidia you will see that will work perfect.

I change the settings after read the forum i remove the parameters and have a good gameplay.
