Items recreated if removed from inventory while looting meat

Recommended Posts

Date/Time: 06/02/2012 and 06/09/2012

What happened: I gut an animal for meat, and when I started to loot the meat I realized I didn't have enough inventory space in my backpack.

First, on 1.6, when I tried to drop stuff "on the animal", without moving my inventory target to an empty spot on the ground, the items would not be removed and would be created on the animal. For instance, I had one stanag mag, then when I tried to drop it I created a new mag on the animal, then I could pick that up again, ending up with two mags. Each attempt would repeat that and I could "create" as many mags as I wanted.

A week later, on 1.7, I did the same thing again to check if it was fixed. I dropped meat and stanag mags the same way, and picked them up again, trying to put them in a full bag from the animal meat pile. Apparently it didn't happened at first. I played for some time but didn't touched my bag. On the next day, when I logged in, my bag was full of raw meat and stanag mags. All other items disappeared and were filled with meat and mags.
