Can i run Day Z/arma 2 with a ATI 5450

Recommended Posts

FIRST OF ALL I DON´T REALLY CARE TO RUN IT IN LOW(ULTRA LOW)

my big brother just gift me arma2 combined operation some weeks ago, but i haven't download from steam because i don't know if i can run it and i don't wanna download 16GB just to find out that i can't run the game.

my specs:

resolution 1280 x 1024

cpu: amd am3 socket sepron at 2.6GHZ (single core TTnTT) that is fucking sad... i know

2 GB cheap ram

ati 5450 1gb

wundows 7

YEAH I KNOW MY PC IS NOT A PC GAMER, but even through i had run some decent games on it

borderlands: 25 avg fps at LOW

left 4 dead 2: 40 avg fps at LOW

cod4 modern gayfare 1: 35 avg fps at MEDIUM/HIGH

and please don't tell me crap about the 5450 being as week as a intel HD integrate. my laptop is a core i7 2.gen ,4 gb ram, windows 7 64 bits, and does't even run portal 1 at medium, wich my desktop run at 60 fps maxed out

cheers from México ^w^.

sorry about my english, i tried my best

No, you probably want to upgrade that CPU to at least a Quad core and and maybe 2 GBs more ram. You can always try to download the demo of arma 2, to see if you can

Unfortunately, I don't think you'll get acceptable frame rates on even the lowest graphics settings with that PC. You should upgrade if you can afford it.

yeah, you are right about the upgrade, in some months i gonna buy a new "gamer" pc. but as far as i am consern, the cpu just limit the GPU creating a bottleneck, since most of the things happend in the gpu, i have actually see a gtx 580 compared in a single, dual, quad, hexa and octa cores, and it actually runs pretty much the same :D,but i may could be wrong about everything

i would wish to do it , but i am saving to actually build a pc with a AMD FX 8 core,8 GB corsair ram, a Ati 6870 and a decent mother board, but that is gonna take in some months , may be for the end of the year. but damm, here in México everything in the pc sector, is too over price. the top-of-the-line amd 2xx $ processors cost about 6000 $ PESOS (MXN), wich is about 530$ dollars USD and the gtx 550 ti cost 5500 $ PESOS, about 450 $ dollars, so yeah being a pc gamer here in México is freaking expensive, but i already have half of the money for my new pc :D.

PD: sorry about my gramatical horrors XD
