Why is everyone moaning?

I'm More than likely going to get flamed and hated for this *sigh*

Why do 80% of the people who play DayZ moan on the forum...

What I have seen so far is ridiculious, people moaing about bandits killing everyone, if you keep getting killed in a city or by bandits, go the opposite direction (up north) were you will not get killed as much, that's what I do. My character practically lives up north. Only seen one person, I fired some warning shots and then backed away into the forest. Haven't been troubled yet.

Then there are those who moan about herpty derp, I think that zombies should be buffed up.. no they shouldnt they are fine, try to take on 10 zombies running at you in the dark, it can be hard.

Basically what I'm trying to say is if you do stupid shit expect to die, think like a real survivor and you WILL survive.

Yeah, you're not the only one who notices this.

One reason is because, it's easier to blame something, instead of blaming themselves.

/me gets killed by bandit, /me rants on how much the server lag should be fixed.

Not many people are getting the fact that if you fuck up you die, thought it was a pretty simple thing to grasp. Maybe just me... :p

[/quote']On one of my plays I found a hatchet and matches really early on (almost straight away), and I spent AGES (I couldn't tell you exactly) in the woods minding my own business. No zombies. No bandits. No worry about being killed unless someone came by, which was going to be rare (and I had an AK anyway). You know how fun that was? It wasn't. No players, no threats, just getting water, food from animals and sitting down. Boring as shit. People go into the cities to find other players and zombies and items to interact and actually do something. I haven't played for about a week now and I can say that I've gotten as much done in-game as I did when I was sitting around on my arse in the forests avoiding everything.

I think the reason people are complaining is just that, apparently, the number of bandits is increasing and the friendlies are becoming fewer.

80% of the people who play DayZ have probably never posted on the forums.

The reason the forums are filled with people complaining about stuff is because they either care about the mod or they like arguing.

they want to jsut shoot at braindead zombies that dont shoot back and not have to worry about dealing with thinking people who pwn them constantly

Eh, I don't know. They want a cooperative experience, which can be easily achieved by just getting into teamspeak with a bunch of people.

I played for a week, died a ton of times trying to find companions. Went bandit, never went back. Life is a lot easier because you don't need to bother with formalities, everyone is a hostile except the select few who you chatter to through teamspeak, cooperating in your hunt for human flesh.

I used to pause if I saw another human, not sure whether to avoid thwm or make contact. Now I don't even hesitate to pull the trigger. If you don't like it then learn to avoid or fight us. Stay the hell out of towns, stick to the treelines, don't alert zombies and fire off your gun. A gunshot to a survivor is someone to avoid or befriend, a gunshot to a bandit is prey calling out for it's throat to be slit and it's beans to be stolen.

Agree 100%, which is why I'm most likely following the bandit path whenever I get DayZ. Or at least, for a few times. Gonna try both friendly and bandit to see which I enjoy more.

Why is everyone moaning? Well, to read it as moaning is missing the whole point of a forum. A forum is venue for the discussion and debate on matters of public interest. 'Nuff said.

So moaners should team up with one of those ever in size increasing gangs of bandits and have a bitch-fight over who is going to play Lord Humungus.

And to that:

Thunderdome's simple. Get to the weapons, use them any way you can. I know you won't break the rules, because there aren't any.

Where Thunderdome has been replaced by DayZ.

Agree 100%, which is why I'm most likely following the bandit path whenever I get DayZ. Or at least, for a few times. Gonna try both friendly and bandit to see which I enjoy more.

can't wait for a way to tell who is a bandit so i can hunt you guys out of existence.

edit: on topic maybe I "moan" because the there are very few things that players can do after grouping up. I mainly just want unique apperences per player, build-able camps, fortifications that zeds can't walk through, Basically more content that isn't focused on PVP. because it will make interactions with other players require more thought than avoid or kill.

I must say that if you got 10 zombies on your self out in the dark that counts as stupid shit. I see no reason NOT to buff them more other then the affects on loot with spawn rates. =/

Any time I've even accidentally gotten zombies on me it's either in small enough a number that I can manage or somewhere close to indoors where I kill them at leisure.

It's easy to shrug off.

OT: I agree there is a rather disappointingly large amount of whine/troll/complaints.

Not enough feedback/bug tracking/suggestion organization.

And I don't count complaints such as "stop adding features and fix the game" or "punish bandits more" as feedback.

It needs to be contributing to the solution rather then bemoaning the problems while the main dev is out and stated time and time again the idea is a developing experiment.

If a measurement of how bad an issue is was needed the devs would make a poll and be done with it.

Not to mention they got a database full of information.

But what can you do other then just do your best to lead by example and take advantage of linking threads that have already covered said topics?

So a guy sitting the middle of the map of map holding left click and killing everyone on the server everytime they spawn is MY FAULT?
