im still getting this problem, ive launched the game via steam by combined operations, i downloaded CO on steam but have the retail version of arma 2, another error is somtimes when i try and get into a server it says that files in my arma 2 addons folder must require a key or be deleted??? please help

The following may of occured:

- You did not launch the games before launching it as Combined Operations

- You are wrongly launching the game and not as Combined Operations (Doubt this.)

I don't think you can launch it through steam, I forgot how you do it via retail + steam but look around the forum for a guide. You might need to run it with Sixupdater or something.

If you can't get it sorted out otherwise, uninstall Arma 2/Combined Ops, and re-install from scratch, using the guide: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2421

It can be finicky.

I really don't think they'll need to reinstall. Maybe they will, but first...

Run Arma 2 (not Arrowhead).

Run Arrowhead.

Launch Combined Operations.

(Yes, it launches through Steam like this just fine.)
