DayZ on a low performance computer

Recommended Posts

Hello! I am playing on a very bad computer. We are talking about something like a 1.2 GHZ dual core, 4 gig ram and a intel hd card. When I am playing regular Arma 2, or OA, I get something like 30-50 fps, which is good. But when I play DayZ, its very laggy. My theory is that I cannot remove the grass completely. I noticed that that was a big framerate thief on Arma 2 and OA, but on DayZ I cannot seem to remove it completely even though I change the terrain detail to very low. Any ideas? Like some startup perimeter or such?

You could try using Arma Lite as part of your install. It has much lower res graphics and sounds so it might help. Other than that you may just have to accept that you won't be able to run it properly with that setup.
