I am pretty sure you would have killed him even if he did offer you a bandage... Mainly because you started hitting him before he actually responded about the bandages... You decided to kill him for carrying a crossbow... Yeah, because tons of bandits use the deadliest weapon in the game... The mystical xbow... If you are going to kill someone dont try and justify your reasons on here... just kill them and say "Yeah I killed this fucker with an axe".
