Question about zeroing

If a taget is let's say 348 meters away should i zero it to 300 or 400 meters and how should i aim slightly above target or lower?

The best way to do it is zero farther, hold low, because then you can see your target.

Zero it at 400 and aim at where you want to hit. At 350 it's worth aiming a very slight amount below the head, as an example, if you want a headshot. If it's 370-380 aiming directly at the head should do the trick.
