Difference between Pellets and Slugs?

Recommended Posts

Sound wise, what's the difference? Which one produces more noise?

On the DayZ wiki (Shotguns) it states differences of noise by the weapon used. Also, on the DayZ wiki (effective range) they have different ranges. Pellets are more for close range and slugs for longer range. How accurate that information is, I don't know. Hehe.

The difference between Pellets and Slugs is, Pellet Ammo will fire a shot that contains multiple pellets that spread, small metal pins if you wanna call them that, great for close range as they spread and have lots of stopping power and CAN take out more targets if they're close to each other. Slug rounds fire a single steady bullet (better accuracy) that will travel a longer range. Decide for yourself which is better, if your aim is anywhere near decent with a shotgun/rifle then I'd say go for Slug rounds, the extra accuracy on longer ranges is a must in the open.
