Diddemz 4 Posted August 24, 2012 Just a question really. I saw the Arma 3 Min Requirements and I don't meet them lol. Basically, if I won't be able to run Arma 3 do you think there will be any chance of me running the DayZ stand alone? I am kind of stoked it is becoming a stand alone game but I am generally concerned I won't be able to play it :(As it is my FPS in game is like 30-40 normally and like 20 in Cherno. Pretty garbage lol
PK Richie 507 Posted August 24, 2012 Start saving some cash now :) You can get a decent gaming rig now for a few hundred. Also the standalone game won't be using the Arma 3 engine :( Its a hybrid

Hetstaine 10852 Posted August 24, 2012 I would suggest that the first system requirements ( xp , core2duo and 8800gt) would be low graphics settings, choppy in built up areas and probably look like shit. Definitely do yourself a favour and go at least two gen beyond that if you can afford it. 8800GT is a damn old card and so is the cpu. Arma ran average on that four odd years ago. I wouldnt want to play it ..even current version , with under 4 gb ram , gtx460 or above and win 7 with a 3.33ghz cpu. Anything lower and you are dropping settings for playability. Did they even mention vista..what was that thing ?
Diddemz 4 Posted August 24, 2012 I meet the recommended requirements you listed, I still run DayZ like crap though, guess that is just normal :S
Hetstaine 10852 Posted August 24, 2012 Min requirements ? I was running current build with what i posted above and maxed out, all on very high. Only thing i have upgraded is my card to a gtx560ti. Game runs sweet and smooth as. Latest drivers, lean out your machine with background processess killed etc. Shut down all of your uneeded crap, game face on.
