hello.

so far i have only been watching 50-100 videos on DayZ, and i'll just list my basic concerns on this game/mod that has huuuge potential.

1.) the map is too small. if i'm not mistaken it covers only 15 X 15 Km (225 Km total). i find that very limiting for a survival game (exploration should be important part of it).

2.) inventory controls are very wierd and time consuming. please work on making it more like general MMO inventory screen / mechanics.

3.) a nice addition would be ability to loot optics and/or silencers and actually attach it to a weapon you like using. (like in Jagged Alliance II, for instance).

4.) characters make alot of long unnecessary movements/animations when switching weapons.

5.) switching weapons and bunch of other stuff is very easily done on the move in real life. no need to make the toon stand in one spot for every little thing.

6.) make it so that player can fill up a magazine by dropping magazines with fewer rounds on top of it in inventory screen. (this is common sense, why would someone keep 10 magazines with few rounds in each one)

well, that would be it, i guess. :)

1. Explore all of chernarus, then tell us its too small.

2. Arma 2's shitty game mechanics.

3. Arma 2 doesn't allow. (standalone could, but not sure.)

4. Arma 2's badness, once again.

5. Arma 2.

Standalone will fix all of these except for 1, otherwise you have some valid points for the standalone.
