Character Reset?

So yeh, I get the message:

"the server is running an incorrect version of the server side application"

When joining any and all servers, tried with all mod versions and all Beta patch versions.

After a quick search of the internet it appears that this is character corruption and my situation looks pretty bleak as the only way to fix this is a character reset which I'v heard the dev team won't/can't do anymore?

So my only solution off the table am I totaly screwed and will never play DayZ again? This would be upsetting to say the least.

If it is possible then my details are:

Game Name: "Mitch"

Player ID: 6586566
