Lone Wolf meets the Cow

Typical rainy day in Cherno... I had been countersniping the sniperhill for some time. After it started raining I decided to join my fellow comrade

at the Stary Sobor. He was requesting fire support, because of the poor weather and possible enemy contact.

I started my journey to the north by running in the rain along side of the road from Electrozavodsk. As usual I kept a

safe distance of 100-200 meters to the road.

Some clicks after I had passed the Topolka Dam I though I heard something from six o'clock.

Was it the wind in the rain? No, too stable and bass heavy noise. It was definitely some rusty engine trying to satisfy

his masters demands. At this point I turned to see the road. A truck! The Mother Ural! The only vechile besides helicopter, which our squad

didn't have. But it was on an asphalt road with no road blocks, I was too deep in the forest to take a shot! Adrenaline

started to flow through my veins. I managed to open my backpack and equip the freshly acquired AS50 Anti-Material sniper

rifle. I ran to get a clear shooting line between the trees. Fast! Opening the scope up. I estimated the range to be around 200

meters. I had less than a second to take the shot. I focused and took the shot. *click* *click*. My double tap was

just a buzz in the air. The gun wasn't loaded. And I was frustrated. Well, I bet I hadn't hit it anyway... Atleast the

raining had stopped.

Well, back to the mission, I continued the trip with dissapointing feeling on my back. I ate and drank, then filled

my water bottles from the pond nearby. It was getting dark... My friend gave more reports about the situation in Stary. One or two foes with

automatic rifles were looting the place. He was staying put and waiting for my support since those guys didn't seem to have

any rush as they though nobody couldn't see in the dark. As I approached Mogilevka from the South-East forest, I heard it again. That same voice, but not so loud as before...

I had my AS50 still on my hands, loaded this time. I sprinted through the open field to the uphill. I felt that sweet adrenaline

coming back for my aid. Few more meters and I saw the Ural. 300 or 400 meters, engine humming, flashing lights.

I wanted a clear shot so I equipped my rangefinder and it showed 354 meters to the truck. Fuck! He was flashing for his friend, who was running to the truck.

Engine started to roar before I got the AS50 from my back and zeroed mid air to 400 meters. Five bullets, I knew I had no time to reload after the first clip.

I emptied my lungs like I'd been still in the army firing range. I aimed a little bit front of the trucks window, because it was already moving.

*Bang* .. Someone dropped out of the vehicle. Did the passenger see me and eject? I was still focusing the truck, but I saw some movement from my left.

I had to take the shots fast! Again a little more front from the window. *Bang* *Bang* *Bang*. Like a wet lump the driver dropped out of the front seat bleeding like a pig.

I had one more round in the magazine. Something was coming streight forward to my position from the left 100 meters. I was in a panic.

Fast aim and *bang*. Ofcourse I missed. FUCK! I wanted that Ural so bad! My heart was pumping hard. Quick estimation, no use of AS in close combat.

I swiched to my sidearm: M9 SD pistol. Aimed and emptied the full clip to the black moving target. My silent prayer had been answered. That foe fell down.

The whole fight had lasted only about ten seconds. Fast sought of the bodies. Ah I had shot a zombie with my pistol! Thats why it ran so fast...

After hiding and seeking the bodies, I entered the Mother Ural and vanished to the Cherno a L85 and some bloodbags richer...

That was the story how our squad got the Ural, I think I don't need to say the server, if those unlucky souls who got killed are reading this Thanks and Sorry! :)

PS. Yeah, I know it's a wiki picture, but I didn't get the print screen working at the time...
