Repair

Your running through a field or have been playing for a while your gun gets shot at (or getting rusty).

Its now damaged and there are is a chance for it to jam, the jam could be minor and able to be fixed or it could be major and no longer usable.

to prevent that from happening you need to repair.

you need these to repair your weapons (items in game):

-Scrap metal

-Wood

-Etc

you need these to repair (items that could be added):

-Weapon parts(depending on where the weapon is damaged/rusted):

barrel, stock, scope, etc

-duck tape

-Etc

Of course adding in items to repair weapons would probably be after dayz goes standalone.

Perhaps a requirement to clean the gun, on a regular basis, in addition to making repairs.

I like the idea but I don't like it being far more difficult than it is. The game really doesn't have to be 100% realistic so including too much realism could turn off a lot of players.
