Camo clothing protects against zombies hits?

So ive heard that this camo clothing is somewhat protective against some zombie hits/smaller firearms. I do see it has a west and something around the chest, but does this help protect against minor wounds? Would be very nice if someone had the knowledge to share.

it doesnt, i've been using a camo clothing all day, still bleeds/lose health from zombies.
