Tents: Worth anything?

I have heard so many people talk about tents deleting items, not saving after restarts, and all things like that. What are your experiences? I seek to have a small camp and leave supplies there for when a friend dies and we have to gather new kit. A nice gun to start with would be nice.

With all these problems, are they worth it? :o

I personaly don't use them. I don't enjoy storing items in tents. Having a storage for incase you die just takes the fun out of the game for me.

So to me, they're not worth a makarov.
