PlatinumLegend 0 Posted August 23, 2012 I have been having problems starting up DayZ. I have Play WithSix to start up DayZ and I have been having troubles playing. I tried starting Steam as an Admin, that didn't work. I tried playing both ArmA 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead before playing DayZ. ArmA 2 played just fine but ArmA 2: OA came up with the error 'bin\config.bin/CFGinGameUI/MPtable.shadow' and 'PSSpecularAlpha:0'. Then I tried just starting up DayZ with Play WithSix but it gave me an error saying Bad Serial Number given in setup. For the bad serial number I tried using ArmA 2 Key Changer and that didn't work I don't know what to do. I tried opening steam as Admin. I am already Admin of my computer. I looked up how to fix the problems but they don't work. At this point I'm not sure what to do. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
motocross 49 Posted August 23, 2012 Sixlauncher is shit, use Dayzcommander. At any rate the bad serial error happens from time to time, I cant remember what you do, maybe validate your files? Right click on arma 2 oa / properties / validate Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
chipdemon@yahoo.com 57 Posted August 24, 2012 Try closing steam down completely (check in task manager to verify), then launch steam as an administrator (via right click menu). Once it's open, verify the integrity of both Arma 2 and OA, after that run each game seperately, then finally use whatever launcher you use to play DayZ (i used to use six, now using Commander, so can't offer u much as far as Play goes).Hope this works~Good luck!
