Ban Question

Logged in my server earlier and seen it had a small explosion of players then the normal - 25, I logged in around my tent which hasn't been harassed yet on the server along with a Huey and ATV.

While eating I noticed sandbag's spawned 100meters away from me, then a player. He looked in the direction of the Huey then "Disappeared" till I heard the Huey take off a minute later which was pretty far for me to actually run too. Minute later I hear a small explosion and bright orange all over my screen in the direction where it crashed.

Going through the logs I realized "Tobias" spawned the Sandbags - then somehow spawned next to it - I was looking in the direction of where he spawned in, kind of odd since its an open field with sandbags suddenly popping in the middle of no where.

Trying to debate on whether to ban the player or not, I did keep his GUID on hand and server banned him for a day just till I can figure out what am I suppose to do as an Admin.

I know what I saw, but I don't know if it was actual cheats or not, from what I seen he only had a Hatchet of some sort, maybe a crowbar.

Because I don't know how the cheats work, not about to start snooping on unsecure websites either to find out - I just was hoping someone who has seen this before can shed light if its legit or not.

I know there is teleporting, but not sure exactly what happens or how it works.

I know there is a whole "proof" thing that is asked for, but from the tone of your posts and the method you have chosen, I think it's fairly obvious your not an abusive admin and also it's obvious that the person was cheating and should be permabanned, I'd also consider putting thier GUID up for other admins aswell.

I don't tend to police my server, honestly rather battle eye get around to it and when they do hopefully a very good portion of the cheats disappear. I did use a certain program to keep a watchful eye on players, but since its now suddenly taboo I gave up using it. I did however use it to find the Helo, instead of fixing it I gave it up to a squad that made my server their home.

I come from the Quake I and II days, its a great way to relax when someone else invites you to their ventrilo or teamspeak to chill out (yes i'm older heh) thanks for the info though Psy.
