How do I swing the hatchet? Or attack for that matter?

For some reason it lit a flare when I tried to swing the hatchet with the left click. What is the keybinding name for it, I.e. "Attack"?

you have to reload it before you can use it.

use 'f' to cycle to hatchet from flares.
