Saw a chopper Crash, Excellent loot

So tonight myself 2 other friends and I were about to log, but then suddenly we hear what we think is a chopper. We then see the chopper and attempt to chase it for a few minutes but to not much success. We then head back to camp as we can no longer hear nor see it. On our way back we see the chopper coming straight toward us and then see it fly over the trees and crash into the field right next to us. At this point we are all screaming down the mic to get to the chopper. When we get there we grab the loot which includes nightvision, DRM, M9 SD, Range Finder, M4A1 CCO SD, GPS and a few various other things.

But anyway how rare is this? Have you seen this happen or found/used these before? Because i've seen nightvision to be as low as 0.43% spawn rate at choppper crashes, and seeing as this is only the third day playing Dayz, and chopper crashes meant to be extremely rare, to be seeing one seems... odd.

And It definitely was not a hacker incase you are thinking it was.

Firstly, how do you know it wasn't a hacker?

Secondly, I believe chopper crash sites don't actually crash, they spawn in upon a server boot.

Sounds like some cheathaxor was flyin about and decided to crash. Watch out for any items that dont have a pic, if you grab those youll be banned.

Can there be more then 1 heli crash on the map?

There are several random crashes (1-4?) at a time on the map, if I am not mistaken.

The chopper wrecks with loot in them are spawned as a crashsite, there's no AI flying them in and crashing, what you saw is some player crashing his chopper, be it a hacker or a legitimate fixed chopper.
