Thought I was doing a good thing...updated to 96061

So i logged in and my truck/motorcycle and all the gear in them (A LOT of good stuff) were completely gone. I had all my gear on me though, which pretty much is everything you can get. Had the same player now for days. I log into one sever to check some tents, stuff is there. Keep getting kicked because battleye client (however you spell it) wont load. Never failed before.

so i did the sensible thing, updated my Arma2 to the new 96061 version using dayzcommander. Goes quick, maybe 10 seconds, its all done. click on a server, spawn on coast with NOTHING even in my inventory. completely bare player now except my gillie suit. same on all servers i have favorited.

i revert back to the 95883 version that most servers are still using, same thing. now im 100% empty, no vehicles, and im on the coast (was far out in the woods).

anyone else get this from doing the update? was fine until i updated my god damn game...stupid me for wanting to be updating when updates happen and forgetting the servers usually fail to be compliant on a regular basis.

TBH, from the many (albeit) circumstantial data points on the forums, the beta updates have little to no direct bearing on these gamebreaking bugs. It's all in the DayZ code, and in the fragmentation of the entire system and you were simply lucky before.

Hmm didn't have this problem after updating.

I logged onto servers that are running the compatible versions, though.

the funny part is..i decided 'F*ck it...ive lost it all so ill start over'.

I still have my gillie suit and all my ratings (kills/head shots/honor rating/etc)...just NOTHING in my inventory.

so i run up to the nearest barn, within 5minutes Ive already got a 1911 with 4 mags, winchester, alice pack, food, bandages, map, watch, hatchet (most important item!), and the best...a bicycle. Hah. I have yet to see a bike and i looked for days. i ran into this one going out of the barn after looting. starting out good already! and i found an offroad truck but of course...it needs everything. still...id call it a nice lucky start right back up getting on my feet!

If you ever randomly spawn back at the coast with no gear just run back to where you logged off. Every time it happened to me so far my body was right where i logged, with all my gear.
