No I don't mean gimmicky stuff like boomers and tanks. I mean something to surprise us from time to time.

Like really rotten decomposed slimy zombies that come out of darker alleys and such and surprise you at the last second. Yno, your out fighting all of the regular infected and all of a sudden this really horribly decomposed thing lurks out of the darkness right next to you and scares the ever living shit out of you. Zombie games kinda lack the whole "Scary" aspect, and in a game where survival is key and you have to be on your toes, I think it would be a great opportunity to make a scary game.

Also, Infected animals could work. Of course we'd get zombie wolves and bears and whatnot, but why not make herbivorous zombies as well? I dunno if they would attack you or not, but it'd be cool if they did.

Oh and this may make you laugh but seriously... What if you found a zoo and ran into a zombie giraffe. You might laugh at first, so would I, but then you realise the thing is on 4 legs and a little faster than a human zombie. And it's long neck gives it a lot more reach. And what's that? You want a headshot? Good luck hitting the brain on that tiny head wobbling back and forth on a rickety undead 8 foot neck... Lol

that really could be great. I got a very simmilar idea, some of the body bags at the military camp in stary sobor could crawl around like a worm or something

rare boss zombies that rome around the map in a horde of normal zombies that drop better loot. would be good to see that in the stand alone.
