Exploding zombies.

I'm not sure if it was a hacker or just a HUGE bug. I was in the forest with my buddies camping out and going over gear we just scavenged. Out of nowhere zombies popped up in front of us, the moment I got a round off at the one in my face it exploded. They all exploded. With incredible force, killing my entire squad. I don't understand why they spawned up where they did, or why they exploded. Unfortunately I lost some great gear, but we had a good laugh..

Has anyone else came across this?
