moekillin 2 Posted August 22, 2012 i have a tent.... i have some good gear and know of clan camp sites to get more when i need it.. i dont dupe items or hack them in. i just want to know of some good grid refs to place my tent. somewhere no one will suspect.. no where near the airfield or stary. Guest Posted August 22, 2012 (edited) There isn't really anywhere 'safe' you could put it. Just make sure to find somewhere remote, but not so remote that you have to trek twenty minutes to the nearest town. When you think you have the best place to set up camp, it's probably the most obvious and hundreds of other players have thought of that exact same place.Just roam around the forests at random until you have no idea where you are and find somewhere heavily built up. Check the coordinates if you can and make your decision.Once, when I was playing with a friend we found our first tent. We didn't have GPS, map or compass but had somehow made it all the way up north without them. It was pitch black and we needed to set it up somewhere so we wondered through a forest until we found a very dense area to pitch in. When we played it the next day we realised we had set it up in a forest right next to some buildings just south of Lopatino. You could even hear the zombies who were about 15 to 20 meters away. moekillin 2 Posted August 22, 2012 thanks, i set it up exactly 1500 meters away from stary and exactly 1500 from the clan camp on my server. ill just put my good gear in the tent when i want to raid their camp or go to stary for ammo. its perfect where i put it, in between a bunch of those trees that leaves touch the ground they are really close together and behind one of those stone and moss walls so it blends in great.
