Shovels (suggestion)

A cool thing to add in the mod (and definately the standalone game!) would be shovels. It would be a another melee weapon with long range and a sharp edge. It would also be used to flatten out dirt surfaces (so not concrete ofc) so you can place tents & make bases/camps on hillslopes!

Would say it's as common as other melees like the hatchet & crowbar.

You can place tents on hillsides anyway, just takes a bit of work ;)

Well Rocket has already been discussing underground construction as one of his priorities , so with great underground construction comes great shovels . I'm sure it will be used as a melee weapon as well as used to dig out awesome tunnel systems and bases .

I thought this might be about digging bases and trenches, which would require a development intensive deformation model for the whole map. but yeah red faction did it. it just looked a bit blocky
