5.1/7.1 Surround sound?

Does arma 2/DayZ support surround sound it sounds more like stereo sound to me now way near as precise as in battle field or CoD?

I dunno, but with my headphones (5.1 surround) Is sounds BEAST. Full surround. I changed my headphone settings so I can hear more sound from the back. So nobody can sneak up to me and loot me ;-)

My headset is 7.1 but gun shots does not sound like they come from a certain direction more like a general area.

I was speakin to a guy who has 7.1 headphones he said it didnt really make much of a difference wich put me off paying £150+ wich i was planning on.

Maybe he had his settings wrong?

i have the razer megalodon headset 7.1.....if u plan on buying a headset for dayz...dont it wont make any differ

Yeah i just tried with my old steel series siberia v2s much lower audio quality then my a40s but the sound directions sound the same.
