kruemelkevin 0 Posted June 12, 2012 I reinstalled the newsest gpu driver, but nothing changed... I still have these fps problems
God (DayZ) 0 Posted June 12, 2012 I have the same issue. It's just that the game is so poorly optimized that many systems struggle to run it efficiently.Saints Row 3 did the exact same thing and they haven't even fixed it yet for the ones who are having problems
okano666@hotmail.co.uk 81 Posted June 12, 2012 Its poorly optimized and even with a $10,000 super computer after 30mins ingame your FPS will nose dive to almost unplayable.,.Arma 3 will probably be the same its the same ancient game engine just with even more fancy lighting that can go wrong. It was made prior to streaming technologies and your client just tries to render everything even if you cant see it. Its proper old school :)
kruemelkevin 0 Posted June 12, 2012 Too bad that this game is so poorly optimized, because its really fun in Mp (especially the dayZ mod). But its unplayable with these random fps drops
kruemelkevin 0 Posted June 16, 2012 Update: I played on another computer with the following specs:hd 7850 (ccc ver. 14.4)Intel Core i7-2600k @3.4 Ghz (8 Cores)16gb RamWin 7 home Premium 64-bitI know that this system is much better than mine, but I can play this game on max settings without any problems. Almost constant 60fps... Is it possible that my CPU ( AMD Phenom II x6 1055T @2.8GHz) is the thing that causes the random fps drops or is it my gpu?i hope someone can tell me. I would watch their screens and my guy looked hilarious, since he was running at a full out sprint, yet I was going to faster then they go crouching.
kruemelkevin 0 Posted June 18, 2012 I looks like I solved my problem. I used Auslogics Disk Defrag to defrag my HDD and now I run the mp with a minimum of 35fps. I hope this will help the people who have the same issue.Ps: I used the option defrag & optimize.PPs: I still have these fps drops in Arma 2 mp ( not arma2 OA)
JKflipflop 40 Posted June 18, 2012 DayZ is still running like crap for me. Normal ARMA is running great with the same settings.
kruemelkevin 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Update: I still have the problems. But after defragging my HDD with the tool, I had 40-60fps and only 1 fps drop per minute...So it didnt help very much

mietzekatze (DayZ) 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Hey guys .... i think i know what the issue is. Could not find out what exactly but this helped me:Turn your Firewall/AV off!Does it help you? If yes i would make a solution post for all of us. :)
kruemelkevin 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Good news :DAfter I tuned off my Firewall, I had no more fps drops in MP... But my fps is still shit :Pps: i´m using Zone Alarm Security
kruemelkevin 0 Posted July 5, 2012 Hi,so i can tell u that I totally removed the FPS drops while playing.I´ll tell u what I did: 1) I used Auslogics Disk Defrag (used defrag & optimize)2) I turn off my Firewall while playing.. this fixes the freezing every 3 seconds3) I´m using the beta patch 93965, with Arma X ( so its non Steam)... A higher patch gives me an error message when I try to join a server. "This server is running an incorrect version of the server side application. Please contact... "4) I´m using CCC ver. 12.6 (HD 5850)5) I´m using these start parameters: -noSplash -maxmem=5096 -exThreads=7 ( I dont know if they help, but they didnt made anything worse.6) I´m not using the Six UpdaterI hope this will fix the FPS Drop problen for most of u guys.Ps: Now I`m running this game with almost constant 45fps (+/- 15... about 30-35 in big cities( such as Chernarus) and 40+ in forests, free areas ( also with Zombies) and small citiesTell me if this helped u to fix ur problems. Have fun and good luck
