Owain1122 218 Posted August 22, 2012 (edited) I was just bundling through the forests near Electro (I've been playing 3 days now and I happened across two tents. One was empty but the other one holy crap! It had an m4, mp5, akm, 2 M1911's and an AS50. I've had all the other guns but I've never had a sniper of any kind before so I took that and 7 mags for it! I also got some NVG's which I've never had and some assorted medical supplies. I know you guys will probably be like ''err pointless topic blah blah'' but seen as though this is only my third day and it's the most stuff I've ever seen. Alas, it was short lived fun for a hacker killed everyone on the server I was on and stripped us of our goodies.It's SUCH a shame this DayZ game rocks yet is so rife with hackers/cheaters/exploiters/server hogs. chris_uk 16 Posted August 22, 2012 The speed of sound is 340m/s so any bullet traveling faster than that should make a crack sound. How many of the weapons in the game fire at less than that? (genuine question) Ive just had a look at a couple and i found this Muzzle velocity (fastest the bullet will be) M1911 = 251m/s Mp5SD = 285 m/sMakarov = 315 m/sMp5 = 400 m/sEnfield = 744 m/s All those lower than 340 m/s should not crack. I've played for ages and never found an AS50 so far.Not that I really need it, the DMR works just fine for what I use and ammo is much easier to find, but still wouldn't mind checking out how the AS50 handles.
