Weird lag issues on iMac Bootcamp

Recommended Posts

hey!

i play day z on a new 27" imac with windows 7 on bootcamp.

specs: 3,4Ghz QuadCore i7; 16GB RAM, 1TB Drive, Radeon HD 6970M 2GB

My problem:

I can set most everything to max and very high and it runs perfect for about 10min, then i get hard lags, almost frozen screen for nearly 1 sec, after this 1 sec it runs perfect for another 10min and so on.

Lower the settings is no solution, played with all settings to very low, same problems.

tested a lot servers - same problem.

i tried all the known tweaks to the graphic setting here in the forum and the one i found on youtube - nothing really helped.

i´ve noticed that the lag appears earlier if another player is near me.

someone have an idea?

thx and sorry for my bad english ;)

Mac's are... weird. By a Desktop PC.

And that said, Arma II is EXTREMELY un-optimised. Running through Bootcamp too and on a Mac... Big Problems.

ya ya, i know mac are not first choice for gamers. skip that guys... ;)

i know there are a lot people out there who are playing this game on macs fine.

before the new 1.7.2.5 patch the game ran perfect at high settings. it seems the problems came some days after installing the new patch - don´t know.

would be great if the guys with macs could reply to this post.

Hey all

I have the same problem and the same Mac I7, 12 gb ram.

I can play about 15-40 min and then my imac lags and make lag spikes. (Its getting relly relly hot the imac)

Same problem with Singel player and Server Multiplayer dayz.

My Macbook Air.

Works Fine. Relly frustrating to play Dayz on my 11" with bad graphic.

I think it got somthing with the hotnes of the imac. But hope som one can help me to.

Best Regard.
