Game Won't Start For Unknown Reason

Recommended Posts

• Have you tried to restart Arma II? Steam? Computer? Yes, I uninstalled ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 OA and reinstalled them, nothing changed.

• Is your Arma II or DayZ Mod files up to date?

Yes

• Have you tried to update battle-eye recently? Install? Reinstall?

Yes, Yes and Yes

• Have you tried searching the forum?

Yes

• Did you check the other stickied threads yet?

No

The Error I'm getting is File C:\Users\Jason\Documents\ArmA 2\ArmA2OA.cfg, Line 2: '.08': '/' encountered instead of '='.

This was not happening yesterday. Please help.

Thank you all so much. But now I have a new problem. Now it says

"File C:\Users\Jason\Documents\ArmA 2\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\=6th=Jason=6th=Jason.ArmA2OAProfile, Line 0: '.': '-' encountered instead of '='"

May be related http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f449-pr-arma2-support/84817-arma-2-operation-arrowhead-no-entry.html

You can try what they've posted in there and see if it helps, may also pay off to see if you have the same file under your old Profile (it will have the relevant profile name of course) and just rename it to your current one and move it.

Or perhaps just delete the file and run the game again like with the previous error you had.

Good luck!
