No sound after installing beta patch 1.60.93616

Hey,

so as the topic says I am unable to hear sounds after installing the DayZ Beta patch.

I was having a problem with the "Retrying to authenticate" bug and the patch fixed that but now I no longer hear sounds in game. I don't hear gunshots, foot steps or zombie sounds but I hear game menu clicks so the problem must be with some file in DayZ beta patch.

Does anyone know a fix for this? I guess I could play soundless but that takes a way major part of the immersion and would make me an easy pickings since I can't hear gunshots or zombie groans.

I'm having this too; the debug screen (zombie kills, blood, temperature) and the bandit mask on the right side aren't showing up either.

Have the same problem after patch 1.7.1 no sounds.

it's wierd.

I just took a short break , changed nothing , and all the sudden I don't have sounds anymore.

Same problem here, no sound, no debug monitor, no zombies, well i did see 3 zombies shambling around cherno but i could run right up to them with no reaction from them. I dont get any bars next the eye and ear icon to suggest im making any noise either.

Does anybody have any ideas or is this just a bug due to the latest patch?

Status symbols are showing up but dont react when I am running

Cant see any loot

Cant see any zombies

This happend after I "Lost Session" on DE 21

I have this issue only in DayZ... other missions work fine... I can also hear the inventory sounds (when you highlight an item)

Servers I manage to get sound I get 5 fps, servers where I don't get sound I get 40-50 fps.

If I could only find a working third option I'd be a happy camper.

Restart computer, fixed my huge fps drop weeks ago.

Restart computer, fixed my huge fps drop weeks ago.

Restarting did nothing, seems to be server related with the new patch.

If I could just find a fix for the sound issues I'd be happy. Tried reinstalling the beta patch, DirectX ect, but nothing works so far.

All servers that have 1.7.1 are required to have 93825

I just noticed a message in the middle of the screen.

"You are running an incorrect version of dayz code. Your version 1.7.1. The server version 1.7.0" But actually the server is updated to 1.7.1.

If I'm joining a server with 1.7.0. it works. Weird
