PopeUnleached 6 Posted August 21, 2012 Hey, I have googled around on this problem, but no solutions work for me.All of a sudden today, when I tried to launch DayZ as usual (it worked yesturday), it says "Bad version, server rejected connection" as soon as I try to join the server. I have not done anything unusual on the computer since DayZ last worked properly, so I don't know what the source of the problem might be. I have tried:* Using SixLauncher, joining servers through the regular Arma 2 OA:CO server browser and also using DayZ Commander, in which I have tried enabling "Launch With Steam" option in settings.* Installing the latest Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA:CO patches from their website ( http://www.arma2.com/index.php?option=com_rokdownloads&view=file&Itemid=20&id=777%3Aarma2-patch-1〈=en and http://www.arma2.com/index.php?option=com_rokdownloads&view=file&Itemid=20&id=803%3Aarma-2-combined-operations--operation-arrowhead--reinforcements-patch-1〈=en), please check if theese are the right updates, since I'm not sure.* Completely reinstalling Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA and making sure the installation is done correctly and the game is run before I install DayZ.If you have any other solutions to this problem, please reply, thanks in advance fellow survivors and bandits! :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

M4R5 0 Posted August 22, 2012 Hi all, I'm also have problems connecting thro Dayz commander to servers, i click on updat to newer version, and install, but does not update, and when join server, i get kicked for bad version..How do i get version updated on dayz commander server list?? Mankind 8 Posted August 22, 2012 (edited) It means you are running a different DayZ Version, or Beta Patch version as the server you are trying to connect to is, to fix this problem, download the latest Beta, or the Beta the server you are trying to connect to from here http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php. Install the Beta. Try launching DayZ through DayZ Commander, or Six Launcher, If you would like to use either of thse download them from here DayZ Commander - http://www.dayzcommander.com/. Six Launcher - http://www.six-updater.net/p/download.html. I have found that whilst launching DayZ through Steam if automatically updates the Beta back to a Beta that servers do not run on.This should fix it. Have a nice day. :)Thank you, it worked after I installed the Beta patch and set my DayZ Commander options to "Launch using Steam" and "Replace original Arma 2OA with Beta so Steam works.".
