Gibbo3771 1 Posted August 21, 2012 Hi,My friend has Arma 2 and Arma:OA seperate, so whenever he launches the game from dayz commander he gets the missing parts message. He needs to launch both from steam before doing anything else. Preferably launch steam in admin mode for this. Then launch Commander and update everything. Then launch Commander and update everything.Nada, still same error messages. Everything is installed correctly. It also says he is missing Chernarus content when joining a server. The fix for this being copy Arma2/addons to commom/arma2operationarrowhead/ but then he gets an errror saying he has a bunch of files that arent accepted on the server. Gibbo3771 1 Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) http://www.dayzwiki....to_install_DayZIf you just follow the steps in that guide for Steam Installation there is no way to fail.I am getting pretty fucking pissed with people coming out with this same answer.If there is no way to fail explain black screens, game not launching, random CA files missing, stuck on character selection screen, stuck on setup complete.MY GAME works completely fine, he has installed it the EXACT same way I installed mine, I sat and watched him do so over skype screen shareing feature. Before I had the same issues and after about 3 reinstalls of the doing the same bullshit over and over it finally just felt like working.The wiki is so easy to follow it is impossible to go wrong but to bad this game just likes to not work 90% of the time.Unless you have an answer from experience dont fucking reply.
